Zalo Marcus Rashford speaks out about his injury
MU striker Marcus Rashford recently updated his injury situation, the problem that forced him to leave the field in the draw with Liverpool.
The English striker was replaced by Antony after more than an hour of play at Old Trafford. Number 10 signaled a substitution after being unable to continue playing due to injury. That Rashford was replaced by Antony. Team-mates were seen comforting the England star, before the player limped off the field. The fact that he left the field with his head in his hands and appeared disappointed on the bench made MU fans feel worried.
Erik ten Hag said after the draw at Old Trafford that he was not sure how long Rashford would be out, but hoped it would not be long. “I'm not sure, but I don't think he will be out for a long time,” Ten Hag said.
MU takes on Bournemouth next Saturday and they may need to win their remaining seven matches to have any chance of reaching the Top 4.
But Rashford has allayed fears he may be sidelined for a long time. Responding to a fan on Instagram asking if he was okay, Rashford confirmed he had no long-term injury, replying: "I'll be fine."
With 1 point against Liverpool, MU is still ranked 6th on the rankings. They are 11 points behind Tottenham's 4th place, and only 2 points higher than Newcastle's 8th place.
