Coach Roberto Marinez recently shared his thoughts on the impact of the Belgian team's internal affairs after the statements of midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

Belgium owns the 6th oldest squad at the 2022 Qatar World Cup when taking into account the average age of the team. When asked if Belgium can lift the 2022 World Cup trophy, midfielder Kevin de Bruyne told the Guardian: "There's no chance of winning it, we're too old. I think our chances are. we are in 2018 with the golden generation evenly across the lines”.
Belgium coach speaks out about Kevin de Bruyne's statements
“We had a good team then, but now we are getting old. We have lost some key players for different reasons. We have some good new players coming up, but they're not at the level of the players who came in in 2018. I see Belgium as more like watching someone else win."
It is not clear if it is because of De Bruyne's comments, but Belgium has just played badly against Morocco. They lost 0-2 in the end and were in danger of being eliminated early. Discussing the student's assessment after the defeat against Morocco, coach Roberto Martinez said:
"This is the first time I've heard those comments. At the World Cup, the players have to talk to the media daily, most of which will be positive but there's always a line or two that don't fit in with the match. context.
