What are the biggest reasons to be a well-researched individual? Why might people look for this skill? How does this benefit me?
As a kid I was always into books and reading and just wanting to know more. The term researched had never once been a thought in my head. I never had any intention to be "well researched" or knowledgeable on different things for other people's security. Not saying that I am now but, I had always wanted to know more, and as I got older, I found that it was a highly valued skill that people appreciate. In a way this can be beneficial to any individual person. Why, because most people throughout their life look to be skilled in atleast on thing, and some even strive to teach that skill and help others begin to unlock something in them they never knew they had. A well-researched individual can be relied on by many people. Seen as someone you can count on and possibly network within the future. By network I mean someone you can rely on in the long run. Someone that isn't really to "researched" could be looked down upon and seen as untrustworthy. That may be someone who isn't good at what they do or if they try to talk about a certain topic it just sounds like they are spurting nonsense. Which is why people strive for education and why some people are always on the search to know more. Knowledge gained through research builds confidence. When you know your subject matter well, you feel more secure in expressing your opinions and ideas, contributing to self-assurance in both personal and professional settings. This means that you are able to find sources on a specific topic and talk about it in a way that people will remember what you talked about and keep coming to you to know more. There are always going to be people looking for a source they can rely on and trust. So being that one person that people look up to when trying to research a specific topic can help build your credibility allowing you to be more known and sought after. People that are well researched tend to have a deeper understanding of the options available and can weigh the pros and cons more effectively. It is a valuable quality that contributes to lifelong learning and success in various aspects of life.
