Oct 13 2019

It was good to see the kids after a 2 weeks break.Due to some lighting issues,we had a short and combined class with the KG students for 15 minutes. We practiced our invocation prayers with them.

Then,we headed to the temple upstairs to take a look at all the Gods. When we came back, most of the students were able to answer the questions related to the gods like- what is their roles, what did they have in their hands, what is their vahanas(vehicle for eg Ganesha has a mouse). We spoke about the story of Durga, how she came into the world to kill Mahisasura.

We also played the meditation game, where the kids were asked to close the eyes and focus just by hearing the number of times the jingling sounds were made by the bell.

Special applause for Aashritha,Bhuvi,Aaryan and Harikesh, who guessed the number right. We are thinking to play this at every class since the kids liked it.It will make them to sit calm for a few minutes, absorb what is happening with full concentration.

The kids were given a green "Reward chart" and 5 stickers were handed for each task completed and followed in class. Some of the kids did not get all the 5 stickers, please take some time to talk to them about why they did not get it ? Even though, its ok,they should be able to think about it.The kids with the most stickers will be able to pick from the treasure box.
