On May 29th, STEM Club members at Mahtomedi High School organized video chats with 3 STEM Professionals. Available to club and community members, the professionals explained what they do in their different STEM fields and how they got there. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions during the calls as well.
Look below for more information about our speakers and recordings of the calls with Kaylea Brase and Justin McPhee!
Kaylea moved to India in 2016 as part of her studies in environmental engineering through the University of Minnesota. After visiting many marginalized communities, she realized the need for portable and affordable water purifiers. Together she and her co-founder, Chris, started Pure Paani, a social impact business that makes water purification technologies more accessible to all.
In an additional call, Kaylea tells more about her STEM story and Pure Panni. Find it on the Pure Panni tab under Online Resources.
