Elemental Characterization: I have research experience in the field of determination of elemental concentrations of major and minor elements from foods, soil and sediment samples. This research, using the concentration values ecological and health risk were calculated.
Instruments: Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA), HPGe Detector, AAS, ICP-MS and XRF
Gamma Radiation: Effects of gamma radiation on organisms in the food samples due to decontamination and optimum gamma doses were identified.
Instruments: Gamma Irradiator, Radiation Survey Meter, Microbial Testing Instruments.
Molecular Characterization of Organisms: Organisms Isolation, Identification and Molecular Characterization as like Bacillus, E. Coli, Salmonella, Clostridium and vibrio; fungus Aspergillus, Penicillin and Mucor from food samples.

I am Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, currently working as a research assistant at elemental analysis and pollution research group at the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology, Atomic Energy Commission, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I completed Master’s Degrees (by research) from the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Professional’s (BUP). I have six international SCI index publications and attended nine scientific international conferences. Presently, I am doing research entitled- Concentration and ecological risk assessment of trace elements in sediments of the rivers of the Sundarban mangrove forest, Bangladesh. I want to do PhD in the field of determination of elemental concentration, risk assessments, remediation, characterization of bacteria/ fungus, food irradiation, and water treatment.
