I began practicing yoga while pregnant with my daughter in 2012 to help manage pain. After the birth of my daughter I was diagnosed with several autoimmune disorders that cause widespread pain and joint stiffness. A yoga practice has helped me manage these disease symptoms and has encouraged me to help others engage in a yoga practice. Yoga is not only for the fit and flexible. It is for those that need to gain and maintain flexibility and strength! I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certificate in 2024 and went on to get an additional certification in Yin yoga to better support everyone in their Yoga journey.
I am an avid horse enthusiast and trainer and the founder of Horse Dreams Farm where we breed and train Gypsy Cobs and Akhal-Tekes. I also compete in-hand and in-saddle. To help support equestrian fitness and success, I have designed a yoga program specifically for equestrians to support strong muscles, flexibility, cardiovascular health, and breath work to help manage competition anxiety and support connection with horses. These classes will be offered as part of retreat packages or by special request.
Metamorphic Mountain Yoga is my vision to provide the local community and county visitors with a range of yoga classes and personal training opportunities to help individuals reach fitness and well-being goals. I have previously taught dance (ballet, tap, jazz) and step aerobics. I love helping people build strength, skill, and flexibility. I see yoga instruction as a way to engage with and help my community members live their best lives. The metamorphic rocks that surround the area and rise above Etlan as part of Old Rag Mountain, are a reminder that change takes time and effort. We can all be on a journey of change to a better self. Metamorphic Mountain Yoga provides a safe space to do just that!
