One of the reasons I love Texas A&M University is that being an Aggie is much more than just the school on your degree. An Aggie does not lie, steal, or cheat or tolerate those who do. An Aggie upholds certain core values - loyalty, respect, integrity, selfless-service, excellence, and leadership. An Aggie is about honor and being dishonorable is a reason to be expelled. The five stars on the Aggie Ring refer to the phases of development of the student: mind or intellect, body, spiritual attainment, emotional poise, and integrity of character.
Texas A&M is not just concerned with teaching you the necessary skills & information to attain a job but they also care that they produce students with a heart for knowledge, honesty, morality and service. You are more than the sum of your skills.
