This project, which launched in September 2018, examines how resilience is translated into practice, whether it fosters collaboration across city departments and stakeholders, and if this collaboration leads to more integrative plans that reduce vulnerability to flooding. The project combines surveys, interviews, social network analysis, and plan evaluation in four U.S. coastal cities at the forefront of flood resilience planning: Baltimore, Maryland; Boston, Massachusetts; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Seattle, Washington. My role on this project was evaluating plans for Boston, Massachusetts and Baltimore, Maryland. You can learn more about this project here.
