United States House of Representatives

As an intern on the Hill I attended hearings, completed staff projects, briefed on world news, tracked legislation, worked on GIS mapping, and spoke with constituents. Also, I coordinated DC tours for the constituents of District 23 - which included giving Capitol tours and tour training other staff.

One of my favorite parts of working on the Hill was attending hearings and briefing the staff. It was interesting to be able to hear the first hand testimonies of experts and watch their interactions with the Members.

One of the most interesting aspects of the position was talking with constituents, in District 23 and across the United States, and hearing their concerns, dreams, and frustrations. I was honored to be able to deliver their messages and help them feel heard by their representation.
