WBL: Internship

As an IB senior who has to take specific classes with specific schedules who already has all of her credits necessary for graduation, I had one spot I needed to fill for senior year. Thus, I was gifted with the opportunity to experience an internship within my school community.

I intern every other day in the front office for one of my school's assistant principals and attendance staff. I help with filing, giving tours/directions, answering phones, taking messages, delivering packages, making copies, and more. Sometimes I help out in the guidance office as well, doing whatever I can to help out wherever I am needed.

For the WBL Program, we had to complete a Career Objective, thinking about our future and how this internship can help to further our goals. Overall, this internship has helped me to be more responsible and make more connections as I experience parts of the real world after high school. I was very thankful for this opportunity, and both the internship and Career Objective below helped me to continue thinking about my future.
