Show your spirit by participating in activities in order to earn points, or gigawatts. Although Marty and Doc only needed 1.21 gigawatts, we hope that all of you can get as many as you can!! Read below how you can prepare before and during the conference to win the most gigawatts!

Roll Call

Submit a 30 second video or cheer for your institutions’ delegation
- Youtube link, Powerpoint slide, or JPG
Must feature your entire delegation
Must be submit before Conference by October 25th, 2019

5 Gigawatts are earned for submission. 10-15 additional gigawatts will be awarded in judging!

Donations

We support numerous charities and need help collecting items! (learn more about our awesome Philanthropies here!) You can earn spirit points by collecting and bringing certain items to the conference, as listed below. Start collecting now!

Donating Fleece (Project Linus)
- 5 gigawatts awarded per lb of fleece (20lb max). Fleece must be cut to fit the dimension of 2x2 meters. Additional points awarded to the institution that donates the most fleece! Fleece MUST be submit at check-in and must be submit with a purchase receipt.
Donating Pennies (Michael J. Fox Foundation)
- 1 gigawatt awarded per lb of pennies (30lb max). Additional points awarded to the top 3 institutions that donate the most pennies. Pennies will be submitted at check-in and points tabulated by volunteers after check-in has concluded.
- For pennies donated before the conference, a Michael J. Fox Foundation confirmation email must be either forwarded to the MACURH philanthropy email or a printed version may be submit at check-in.
Donating Keys (Ronald McDonald House Charities)
- 1 gigawatt awarded per lb of keys (30lb max). Additional points awarded to the 3 institutions that donate the most keys. Keys will be submit at check-in and points tabulated by volunteers after check-in has concluded.
- For keys donated before the conference, a Ronald McDonald House receipt/confirmation must be given at check-in or sent to the MACURH philanthropy email in order to receive points.
Donating Pop-Tabs (Ronald McDonald House Charities)
- 1 gigawatt awarded per 4 ounces of pop-tabs submitted (80 oz or 5lb max). Additional Points awarded to the 3 institutions that donate the most pop-tabs. Poptabs will be submit at check-in and points tabulated by volunteers after check-in has concluded.
- For poptabs donated before the conference, a Ronald McDonald House receipt/confirmation must be given at check-in or sent to the MACURH philanthropy email in order to receive points.

Activities

Didn't collect quite as much as you wanted to? Well you're not out of the game yet! You can earn these gigawatts during the conference by participating in the following activities.

Tying Blankets
- 3 gigawatts awarded per blanket made during philanthropy sessions
Writing Letters to Veterans
- 2 gigawatts awarded per letter written
Billiken Bounty Hunt
- Look for some hidden billiken dolls around campus to earn a gigawatt per doll. Additional points will be awarded to the team that finds the most billikens. Bonuses are awarded if you find the "Doc Brown" or "Marty McFly" Billikens!
Educational Sessions
- 5 gigawatts per session. Top ten sessions earn extra points!

Spirit Skateboard

This will be a decorated skateboard which will be given to the most enthusiastic delegations. The delegation it is awarded to will then be in charge of handing it off to another delegation that they see going above and beyond and just generally emulating the MACURH spirit.

It’s a great way to keep delegations’ spirits high and to just make sure everyone feels accomplished and recognized. We won’t be keeping track of any gigawatts surrounding the skateboard, it’s just a fun extra spirit boost we’re doing :)
