At 11 pounds, in her 7th year playing Nose Tackle out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, GRACIE a.k.a. ORACLE!!
At 11 pounds, in her 8th year playing Cornerback out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, BRYANN a.k.a. our SUPERMODEL (long, leggy, and throws up a lot)!!
At 10 pounds, in her 1st year playing Free Safety out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, MATILDA a.k.a. MADDIE a.k.a. MADDIE MOO!! Maddie’s the sweetest, a real lover. She was the staff favorite at Cozy Cat, and likes sitting on the laser printer.
At 13 pounds (and rising), in his 4th year at Offensive Tackle out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, LOGAN a.k.a. POOTER!! Logan is the undisputed master of the Head Butt. His original name when he was at Cozy Cat was Roddi (gag). Logan is the least photogenic of our cats. He is kind of bitey in an affectionate kind of way, but we love him. He likes Parmigiano Reggiano, string cheese, and yellow cheddar (not mozzarella, gorgonzola, or colby jack).
At 8 pounds, in his 2nd year playing Strong Safety out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, JACK a.k.a. WILBUR!! Jack is deaf, blind in one eye, and wakes his owners up every morning at 5 am. Jack has sadly passed.
At 9 pounds, in her 4th year at Cornerback out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, SOLO a.k.a. DARTH SOLO a.k.a. POOKIE!! Solo is fearless, full of personality, and extremely food motivated (which is a problem sometimes). She was the only kitten of her litter to survive (hence her name) because her mom had distemper. Her mom's illness caused her hips to sway as she walks and her balance to be a little off (neurological). Solo is 95% love muffin and 5% claw monster. She enjoys cheese, turkey, oatmeal, Alaskan snow crab, and - oh fuck it, she'll eat anything. Solo also has a bionic leg. Solo has sadly passed.
At 8 pounds, in her 4th year at Punter out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, OLIVE!! Olive and Brutus come from a litter of kittens Michelle fostered in 2007. Olive, despite her diminutive size, is extremely feisty and spunky, a real spitfire. Olive and Brutus know how to “Sit up!” Unfortunately, Olive does best in a 1-cat household, so she now belongs to our friend Lois.
At 12 pounds, in his 5th year at Fullback out of the Powell Cozy Cat Cottage, BRUTUS a.k.a. CINNABON!! Like Maddie, Brutus is a lover with people. The owners wish to emphasize that Brutus was NOT named after the Ohio State mascot. In addition, the original owners would like to state for the record that Brutus, Olive, and Sweet Pea have absolutlely no official connection to Popeye the Sailor. Unfortunately, Brutus does best in a 1-cat household, so he now lives with Michelle’s Mom. Brutus passed away in 2011 at the age of 5.
At Middle Linebacker, in his 15th year from the Ann Arbor Humane Society, weighing in at a muscular 17 pounds, LOUIS a.k.a. SWEET PEA a.k.a. LITTLE PEA!! Louis' original name at the Ann Arbor Humane Society was Eugene. Louis’ hobbies include laying upside-down in laps, hiding from strangers, pawing at the nail file, and intently watching (but not actually chasing) the laser pointer dot. He enjoys Black Forest ham, pork chops, bacon, and essentially any other pig products. Louis passed away in 2006 at the age of 15.
At Tailback, in her 15th year and adopted from a litter in Ann Arbor, weighing in at a svelte 8 pounds, BELA a.k.a. BELA KITTY!! The Bela Kitty’s hobbies include napping, doing pumpies on laps, sitting on top of suitcases, pawing at crinkly grocery store plastic bags, jumping up on the dining room table when she thinks her owners aren’t watching, and sitting inside of cardboard boxes. Her likes include hummus, cheddar cheese, oyster crackers, and being petted on top of the scratching post. Her dislikes include the smell of bananas. Bela passed away in 2006 at the age of 15. Michelle and I miss her, but we sleep better now.
At Nose Tackle, the Takeru Kobayashi of all cats, in his 10th year from the New Orleans Humane Society, STANLEY a.k.a. BUBBY a.k.a. WUBBY!! Stanley's hobbies include eating, eating, beating up Louis, and eating. He has also been known to lay on the keyboard and nip at your mouse hand, and sleep on his owners' heads. Due to football-related injuries, Stanley's hips "click" when he walks. Stanley passed away in 2006 at the age of 10 (2006 was a rough year for the Kitties!!!).
