Unit 2: Kirkpatrick level 1 Survey

Introduction

For this activity, I designed a Kirkpatrick Level 1 “Reaction” survey to gather participant feedback on my minicourse, Curriculum to Constructivism: A Practical Planning Framework for Real-World, Standards-Based Learning.

The survey is built around my Instructional Design Document (IDD) and course learning outcomes, with questions that measure how participants felt about the learning experience—its clarity, relevance, and engagement. I wanted the questions to do more than collect ratings; they invite honest reflection on how meaningful and applicable the course felt in practice.

I used a combination of Likert-scale and open-ended questions to keep the survey concise but still provide both measurable data and space for thoughtful input. The goal was to create a feedback experience that feels personal, purposeful, and directly connected to improving the minicourse for future learners.
