I selected Canvas as the LMS for my minicourse because it offers structured modules, built-in rubrics, and seamless media integration that support organized, interactive, and visually engaging learning experiences. Canvas simplifies grading, enhances feedback, and promotes collaboration through its discussion and assignment tools. It is also the platform currently adopted by Prince George’s County Public Schools, making it highly relevant to my teaching context and target audience. I have experience building and managing courses in both Canvas and Google Classroom, using features such as rubrics, integrated apps, and formative assessments to support differentiated instruction and student engagement.
