Learning should be accessible, relevant, and tangible. The Curriculum to Constructivism minicourse is designed to help educators move beyond simply covering standards and instead design meaningful, real world project based learning experiences. The introduction video sets the stage by showing the contrast between a traditional lecture, where students appear bored and unengaged, and a hands on shea butter science project, where students are fully engaged and making connections. These opening images were created using Pippit AI with the prompts “image of diverse students bored and unengaged as they are listening to a teacher lecture” and “image of diverse students engaged in shea butter project based learning in science lab.” The video then introduces the five modules of the course; Unpack Standards, Connect Contexts, Design Tasks, Map Lessons, and Assess Learning.
