Ratings

New members who want to play in the EVSTL League, Group Round Robin, Tournaments, or  Invitational play, will need to obtain a 'Club Rating'.  The rating is simply a means to place you in matches with other players of  similar skill levels.

• 1. Players who participate in EVSTL, Group Round Robin, Tournaments, or Invitationals, are required to have a Club Rating. Players may obtain a Club Rating via an “on court evaluation” by the club’s rating committee or in some cases during  informal tennis academy play.  

  2. No rating is needed for social or Potluck/Drop-in play. 

  3. A Club Rating is used to allow players to compete with players of similar skills and abilities.A Club Rating is NOT required of all LWTC members. 

  4. A Club Rating is only required if a player wishes to participate in the following events: 

     • Group Round Robin (GRR) events

     • East Valley Senior Tennis League (EVSTL) play 

     • Tournaments 

     • Invitationals
