Here is a CV that i have written from scratch which talks about my skills and experience that i already have when it comes to working. this is to send to potential employers.
Out of all the skills i have researched here are two that i want to try.
Guitar tone
Factors in electric guitar that make the most difference in electric guitar, The player, The neck (tone follows the neck), The guitars pickups, The guitars hardware and The body. The distance between the pickups and the strings. Different tunings create different tones. Pickups position on the strings.
Using flexpitch in logic
Flexpitch allows you to quantize an edit a piece of audio. Record a vocal in a channel strip, highlight it and press E on the keyboard, Fine Pitch wants to be between -8 and positive 8.
Distortion
Is used mainly for metal or riffs, creates a rough sound when activated to create a heavy tone.
Logic beginners tutorial
Press x on the keyboard to open the mixer, here you can manipulate the EQ and change it to your preference. Press t to open the tool menu which gives you access to do different things. Press M to mute the track, press s to solo a track, if you solo a track only the track highlighted will be heard.
How to master a song in logic
Use the match EQ tool, export in the correct file type, Higher sample rates/higher bit rates use more CPU, press z to make the audio file zoom in so you can edit specific points. press x to open the mixer and gain access to adding an EQ and a compressor.
Recording software instruments and midi on logic
Press track on the top drop downs and select 'new software instrument' or use shortcut 'option command s'. Select which instrument/plugin you want to use, press the record button at the top and play whatever you want. double click the channel strip to open piano roll, you change the pitch/length of the notes you've recorded in there. And press the Time Quantize button to automatically make the notes in time. Use 'command d' to duplicate a track.
How to tune a snare drum
After putting on the new snare head, make sure all the tension rods are screwed tight, use the tuning key to tune higher then a tom, when tuning make sure you go across the snare not following it around.Flip it over and do the same to the bottom.
How to improve vocal range
Get a guitar and play a note, try match the pitch using your voice without straining, keep going from the first fret upwards until you can't match the pitch anymore. Using the note before the one you cant copy with your voice do this exercise. Make a 'woo' noise turning upwards (make it go higher) and a 'wee' noise turning downwards(make it go lower) for 7 days, do this for 2 minutes a day. After a week come back to the guitar and see if you can go higher than where you had to stop.
How to make a musical empire
To make a musical empire you have to have an understanding of the industry, you have to have something about you and be business smart, using social media to your advantage and strategically signing artists while maintaining publishing rights. Most importantly, you need to be committed and stack a lot of time and money into it. Always own your own music.
