Geometrical Symmetries

“The mathematical sciences particularly exhibit order symmetry and limitations, and these are the greatest forms of the beautiful.” ~Aristotle

In this session of LUMS Math Circle, kids learned about symmetries and their types. Dr. Atta ul Haq and Dr. Rafiullah introduced kids to the idea of linear and rotational symmetries. Kids had a lot of fun identifying symmetries in real-life objects. Dr. Atta ul Haq and Dr. Rafiullah mesmerized kids with the symmetries of polygons and a circle. The session concluded with the applications of symmetries in daily life and sciences.
