School: Govt. Shaheed Hasnain Sharif Higher Secondary School No. 1 and FG Girls School No. 1

Bright students from classes 9 and 10 were excited with encryption and decryption charisma 

They deciphered many encrypted texts and learned the mathematical skills behind cryptography. This circle was rewarding as many students won chocolates and special LUMS MATH CIRCLES merchandise for winning the cipher competition!

They were exposed to the history of cipher, which was started by the Roman emperor Julius Creaser. The epiphanies from Alan Turing's genius of decoding Enigma codes inspired many to delve deep into mathematics learning. Principals and teachers alike joined to play various math tricks

Dr. Imran Anwar and Dr. Akbar Zada from the University of Peshawar steered the circle, and Ms. Humaira, a Ph.D. student at the University of Peshawar graciously volunteered.
