From my studies of theater technology, I've learned several fundamentals of scenic construction. This includes different styles of flats, platforms, proper construction techniques, and more.
These were faux clouds we made using paper and chicken wire for the set of Ascension. These clouds would later be rigged in the space.
The framing for a column in the play Meeting Points.
A faux glacier for the production of Three Antarcticas. These were made using techniques for unusual scenery.
A dry fit up of the set for a production of Good Grief. The set consisted of studwalls that were built using industry standard framing techniques.
In addition to what's shown here, I also helped build studwalls for a foodtruck. Said walls also needed to be suitable to run plumbing, and be accessible for other contractors during the actual event.
The photos here are some of the finished products for the LIV Golf tournament at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Creating this scenery involved skills such as leveling on uneven surfaces, framing/creating studwalls, and prepping surfaces for vinyl graphics.
