This is a cross knot and part example (for learning facial hair) using synthetic hair. The goal was to make the hair flow in a specific direction whilst also maintaining strong knots and a random, natural density.

Wig shop Student Worker

While studying theater technology at the DePaul Theater School, I've been hired as a student worker for the school's wig and makeup department. My job revolves around making wigs, both for ongoing shows and for whatever the inventory requires. This involves techniques such as ventilating, creating strong hair knots, following patterns, and understanding how to work with various types of hair.

This is some [human] hair I ventilated on a piece of mesh following a practice square. This was accomplished using single hair-single knots.
