I am a Herefordshire-based ceramic artist, working in my garden workshop, surrounded by rural countryside.
In my artistic practice, I explore the transformative interplay between thrown ceramics and freehand drawing.
Once the forms are handcrafted, I infuse each pot with gestural and expressive drawings drawn from direct observation, reflecting my thoughts and emotions that capture the essence of a moment in time. This process transforms ceramics into a canvas that beautifully blends craft and narrative. Ultimately, these pieces become more than functional objects—they offer a glimpse into our shared human experiences
I am a 3rd year student, studying a degree in Contemporary Design Crafts at Hereford College of Arts, specialising in ceramics.
Previous to this course, I was a self-taught wildlife artist working in oils/acrylics/charcoal and mixed media. Work was displayed in galleries:- Oxfordshire & Herefordshire. The artwork has been displayed in various exhibitions including the Mall Galleries, London (Royal Oil Institute, New English Art Club and Discerning Eye), Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Derby Museum & Leicester Museum & Art Gallery.
