The Louisville Writing Project hosted its first Invitational Summer Institute at Bellarmine University in the summer of 2024. Although LWP previously celebrated 40 years of institutes at the University of Louisville, we didn't host one at Bellarmine until 2024.
Recent years:
2024: First institute at Bellarmine. Funded by a grant from the Bader Trust. Participants engaged in a week-long institute during the summer and shared their practice with Mini Conference participants in the Spring of 2025.
2025: During the second summer at Bellarmine, we worked with 4th and 5th-grade teachers from Price Elementary School.
2026: We plan to partner with another local school to offer faculty the opportunity to grow in community with their peers.
