Legends of the Aether: Tykonia takes place in the continent of Neo Keleva, in the year 3026 B.M. (Birth of Midya), within the Peninsula of Tykon, though locals call it Tykonia due to the word's ancient origins. The world is known as Azura. It is home to all kynd, each with distinct abilities, cultures, physical traits, and more.

Azura has one sun and is orbited by "two" moons: the white moon Lunanides and the remnants of a red moon, Rulara; now a ring.

Oceans beyond Keleva

Azura has four major bodies of water, each with unique characteristics. While they are called "seas", these bodies of water are more oceanic in nature: The Northerly Kofloran Sea is violent and rough waked, with the coldest waters across Azura. The Barren Sea is warm and violent, and distinctly lacking in aquatic fauna. Jubar's Sea has cold, calm waters and large aquatic fauna. The Eganian Sea is the largest of the four and is extremely violent, with waters warmer than Kofloran Sea, but colder than Jubar's.

Seas beyond Larova

Keleva has seven major bodies of water, and is flanked to its Northwest by the Barren Sea, and Jubar's Sea to its Southwest with the Eganian Sea to its Southeast. Within the sister-continent herself lies the Atillian Sea, splitting the Kelevas in two. Between Nadee and Shinseina lies the Southerly Gulf with its temperate and calm waters. Splitting Midya and Sahil lies the Strait of Keleva and the Levin Gulf, a major trade route from Tykon to Bolingo. To the north of Midya and the Ashlands lies the Tempest Sea and Vatan's Bay of Bronze with rough and stormy waters.

Neo Keleva

Neo Keleva consists of multiple sprawling landmasses and peninsulas. One of them is the Peninsula of Tykon, Tykonia. This subcontinent is filled with diverse plant life—hundreds, if not thousands, of unique species of flora and vegetation. Further, Tykonia is divided into two distinct regions: East and West. This division is shaped by the towering Three Kings, a mountainous range that slices through the centre of the lands. As a result, the flora on each side has evolved along separate paths, adapting uniquely to their respective environments.

South Keleva

South Keleva is the southerly sister continent, larger than Neo Keleva which is divided by the Atillian and Levin Sea, bridged by the Strait of Keleva. In comparison to its sister continent, South Keleva is described to have a much more arid, if not tropical, climate. As Legends of the Aether: Tykonia takes place exclusively on the Tykon peninsula, much information about the rest of the Kelevas is obscured and provided by word-of-mouth or written accounts. Firsthand accounts are possible, however Kelevan arrivals into Tykonia have dwindled in the past years as a result of the Pale's incursion.
