Performance, Requirements & Stability
LoreRim has been optimized and bugfixed by hand for the smoothest and most playable ultra-modded experience possible. I personally check meshes to make sure the polys are not insane as to tank FPS for little visual gain. Texture sizes are chosen on the basis of how the texture is actually applied into the world. Custom edits have been made to the environment to reduce drawcalls. Hundreds of files have been packaged into BSAs for VRAM optimization. On top of this, our Discord server features modlist support for those running into issues.
The pre-requisites for installing LoreRim depend on your chosen profile (Ultra vs Default) but these are absolutely essential regardless of the chosen profile:
-Legal copy of Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Steam set to the English language and updated to the latest version.
-Latest Visual C++ and .Net Runtime installed (even if you think you have them)
-Pagefile set to a minimum of 40GB - instructions
-600GB of space (250GB are downloads and can be placed on any drive, the 350GB install must be on a Solid State Drive)
-16GB of RAM
-Preferably a high-performing CPU such as at least an 11th gen Intel i7 or higher or AMD equivalent.
-GPU Vram Requirement is roughly 16GB for Ultra, 10GB for Default (depending on GPU)
