Exhibit 1

FAFSA

Revision

Going off of the feedback I received, I changed my design to include a darker and easier font to read. The font is all the same and the last bit is bold.

I kept all the same design elements from the previous picture.

Background:

While using photoshop I concentrated on creating a clean and easy to understand image. The one thing I wish I had more information on before I started college was FAFSA, so I took this as an opportunity to create something I would appreciate.

Design:

The design I went for was something very clean and easy to understand. I used colors that drew the eye. School and money shouldn’t be placed against a dull color and no background. I wanted to be able to look at it and feel not happy but satisfied. I edited the photo a bit to make it work with the other illustrations.

Photoshop skills used:

In Photoshop I used the text tool to create the text on the page, as well as change the font. The background image was enlarged and cropped to fit the frame. The planter of money was edited to delete the money sections to make space for the circles of picture information.

The two circles containing a wallet of money and another circle containing a calculator and a paper were both resized in their perspective layers to make them fit into the large layer with the background blue.

the eraser tool was used as well as the selection tool to make sure everything was clean and organized for the smaller circles to be placed.
