Vigorous in his youth, Louis is a strapping lad eager to see what the world has to offer him, and what he can offer it in kind. 

Though his parents did their best to prepare him for the day he set off on his own, there's quite a difference between hearing their stories and experiencing life firsthand.

Confident in most affairs, he prefers a friendly approach and is generally happy to share or lend aid when given the opportunity. 

He is physically affectionate and not shy about giving an amiable nudge, groom, or cuddle, when allowed. 

Possessed of a strong internal sense of self worth, not the least because he is the heir to the Borel name, he tends to default to a more dominant stance unless otherwise corrected.

Though no stranger to sparring, Louis is prone to biting off a bit more than he can chew, especially when he feels an injustice is being done. Possessed of a strong sense of right and wrong, Louis readily speaks, and acts, out when faced with moral disagreements. Even when keeping his mouth shut might be smarter.

Louis is still quite naive and easily swayed by emotion. 

When he reaches courting age, this becomes especially apparent. He loves to love, whether that lasts an hour or a moon or a season. This isn't to say that he's lecherous, just that he is uninhibited and inexperienced. Girl = pretty = I must be in love! 

He falls "out" of love quickly too, and may grow into quite the inadvertent heart-breaker. For the right partner, he could absolutely stick around, but it's likely he will always be a bit of a rover. 

History

Not long after the events of Endwalker, Alisaie found herself with child. The unexpected pregnancy resulted in a Miqo'te-Elezen child, Louis. His black and white hair and pointed fangs make him undoubtedly the biological progeny of Nahte. 

Born to such adventurous parents, he was raised collectively by the extended polycule, and so has many "fathers," including Aymeric, Estinien, and G'raha Tia. Aymeric named Louis the heir to House Borel, to be raised and educated as such, under the condition that he could set the title aside if he decided he did not desire it.

As a kid, Louis was extremely cuddly. He was climbing pants legs before he could walk. Friendly and bold, he was quick to greet strangers and showed very little fear (or sense).

Though not malicious and generally a well behaved, empathetic child, he had very little regard for rules if they did not suit him. 

Arguments between his parents arose more than once over this. Of particular note was his tendency to raid the cookie jar and make himself sick off forbidden sweets. Hiding the cookie jar became quite a game, his Miqo'te fathers arguing that learning to hunt is important for Miqo'te children. The jar was moved, obscured with magic and heights and clutter. Louis became extremely motivated in his studies to grasp such magics and acrobatics as would make the treat reachable.

Eventually, he learned sleight of hand as well, and began leaving cookies in the pockets of people he liked. 

For his fifth Starlight, Louis was gifted a wooden sword and shield to practice sparring with. Louis loves G'raha Tia and was exceptionally excited to get a matching shield and a "blade" to spar with. G'raha was overjoyed by the bonding opportunity it represented. Their wrestling matches from this day forward were duels and training sessions and are primarily what inspired Louis to take on the mantle of Knight once he was older. He was trained by one of the very best!
