Geriatric Head CT

Geriatric Low Impact Fall Guidelines for CT Alert:

• Age >/= 65

• GCS 14-15 or baseline for patient

• On anticoagulants, including ASA

• Positive LOC and/or evidence of Head/Facial Trauma

**Parients meeting the above criteria should go for a Head CT within 30 min of ED arrival. Initiate Geriatric CT Alert**

Activate patient as Level A or B as appropriate if found to have any of the following:

• Positive Head CT

• Decrease in GCS (13 and below)

• Decrease in normal vital signs

• Any other level A or B criteria found
