We’ve recently observed an increase in instances where the chain of command is not being followed. Please remember that following the chain of command is essential for maintaining efficiency within the department. As stated in the handbook, Section 2: “The chain of command (CoC) is our ranking structure in this department. It is expected that you bring any issues to the next highest-ranking member available. DO NOT IMMEDIATELY GO TO THE CHIEF.” Failure to maintain the CoC may result in disciplinary action.
