The Community Council in Wales perform the same functions as parish councils in England. They exist to act as a voice for the community, to represent its needs and views to to the local authority, and other public bodies, and to provide a limited range of services at a local level. It is the first tier of local government, with the County Council being the next tier. Prior to 1974 representation at this level was as a Welsh civil parish.
The following is a list of the Chairmen who have been elected for Llanddewi Velfrey Community Council since 1974. Election is normally in the May Annual Meeting - the exception was in 2020 when covid-19 delayed the Council meeting until June 2020.
