Sunshine, Smiles, and Saddle Time Your Best Week of Summer Awaits!
At LJ’s Horse Lessons, summer means one thing — camp season! Our Summer Riding Camp gives young riders the chance to spend their days surrounded by horses, friends, and sunshine while learning essential skills that last a lifetime.
Each week of camp is a perfect mix of fun, learning, and adventure — designed to help campers grow in confidence, horsemanship, and teamwork. Whether your child is brand-new to riding or already comfortable in the saddle, we provide a supportive and exciting environment where every camper can shine.
What to Expect
Every day at our Summer Camp is thoughtfully structured to balance hands-on learning with pure horse-loving fun.
Campers will enjoy:
Daily Riding Lessons: Personalized instruction to match each camper’s skill level, focusing on confidence, balance, and control.
Horsemanship & Barn Care: Learn how to groom, tack, clean stalls, feed, and care for horses; developing responsibility and respect for animals.
Groundwork & Safety Skills: Practice leading, lunging, and reading a horse’s body language in a safe, guided setting.
Creative Activities: From horse-themed crafts to barn games and scavenger hunts, there’s never a dull moment.
Confidence-Building Challenges: Friendly competitions and team activities that encourage campers to cheer each other on and celebrate progress.
Each day combines education, physical activity, and community, helping riders gain not only riding skills but also lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories.
What to Bring
To make the most of camp, riders should bring:
Long pants or jeans (no shorts while riding)
Boots with a small heel
Refillable water bottle
Sunscreen and bug spray
Packed lunch and snacks
A helmet (if you don’t have one, we’ll provide one!)
We recommend labeling all personal items to ensure nothing gets lost during the day.
Safety First, Always
At LJ’s Horse Lessons, safety is our top priority. All camps are led by experienced instructors who emphasize proper handling, awareness, and respect for both horses and fellow riders. Campers are supervised at all times, and group sizes are kept small to allow for personalized attention and instruction.

Why Riders Love Summer Camp
Our campers leave each week with stronger riding skills, new friendships, and a deeper love for horses. Parents love the blend of structured learning, fresh air, and safe, engaging fun.
It’s more than a camp — it’s a community. A place where every rider learns, laughs, and leaves with a smile (and maybe a little hay in their hair).
We can’t wait to welcome your child to our barn this summer where confidence, friendship, and horsemanship grow together.
