At Lauren & Jack Community Pilates, our classes are led by two experienced, fully qualified instructors with strong academic and professional backgrounds in movement, rehabilitation, and education.
We combine expert knowledge with a down-to-earth, community feel - helping you get stronger, move better, and feel good in body and mind.
After a lower back injury in 2017, I discovered first-hand how powerful Pilates can be for rehabilitation and everyday wellbeing. I love that Pilates challenges everyone - whatever your level - and that every week brings progress you can feel.
I’m passionate about creating friendly, welcoming classes where people can move safely, build strength, and enjoy that shared community energy.
Beyond Pilates, my work focuses on neurodiversity and education. I co-develop national psychoeducational resources for autistic and ADHD children (now used across NHS Trusts, councils, and schools), have co-authored a parliamentary report on the support needs of autistic young people in the UK and advised the House of Lords on further development of the Autism Act (2009).
Outside work, you’ll find me training the dogs, walking in the countryside, running with Ernie, or recharging with good food and a quiet weekend - because balance matters as much as strength!

I’m now a Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation and teach across university and NHS programmes.
I’ve spent over 25 years helping people move well - from injured Royal Marines to stroke survivors - and I’m passionate about helping everyone reach their potential through safe, effective, and motivating exercise.
Outside work, I’m an all-round sports fanatic and a former boxer and rugby player. I keep active walking and running with our dogs and still love a good gym session. I’m also an artist, specialising in detailed pet portraits in graphite pencil.
