There are simple reasons to believe and there are more complex reasons to believe in God..Or at least this is what I believe...God's Divine Design and creation discussions get complex and one can spend much time thinking about different arguments for God...But there are more simpler reasons to believe...
The simplest reason to believe in God is that there is this book about Him, and it is called the Bible...Each of us must come to our own conclusions about this book...Is the Bible fact or fiction?...If you cannot believe in the Bible, then you will be hard pressed to believe in God and in Jesus...Where else can you go and get a basis for your beliefs in God and Jesus?...The Bible contains almost all the evidences of our LORD and His Son...There is no other book like it...There are many authors of the Bible...So if you do not believe in God, then you must think that all the different authors have lied about what they have seen, heard, eyewitnessed, and have written...The New Testament authors write almost exclusively of Jesus...So, if you do not believe in God then you must think that all these authors of the New Testament, have lied along with the Old Testament authors...And how did the gospel writers come up with Jesus, as our Messiah?...Most thought is the Messiah is supposed to be a military leader who would help Israel conquer the Romans and their Empire (if He were the One to come during the Roman occupation period of Israel)...Did each of the authors just make all this stuff up about Moses, the history and the history books, the wisdom books, and the New Testament of the Bible?...How did Saul of Tarsus get it so wrong?...And Saul was a smart guy...Saul, changed his name to Paul and he would write half the books of the New Testament, all about Jesus and spreading the teachings of Messiah, right after His death... Paul knew Old Testament Scripture, better than most of his time...Could he have been so fooled by those actual eyewitnesses and eyewitness disciples of Jesus, whom he personally met and talked to, as well as Jesus' brother James in finding all he could about Jesus after meeting Him on the road to Damascus?...After meeting Jesus and researching and learning about Him, Paul sat down and over a period of years wrote the epistles, which made there way into the New Testament...
The first people to live on earth to the current generation have a large number believing in a Creator or an Eternal Being...Over ninety plus percent of all people who have ever lived on earth have thought there was a Higher Being...So one must think of himself or herself as smarter or at least have some reason why the by far than the large majority of people who have inhabited the earth and believed in God...Why do you think that so many early people believed?...This is a question one needs to ask themselves...So there are only a few people (relatively speaking) who have thought since the beginning of man that there was no God...Then nonbeliever should at least question why so many people believe and have believed in God in the past...Some may put this reason down as old myth and legend, but Christianity and while Jesus was on earth and then resurrected was no myth or legend...Jesus' stories kept going on after His death...He did so many miracles, especially of the healing type that He would have been popular with a large amount of the Jews of His time...This large group of believers from the start of man until now is a reason to believe...They learned and heard about YAHWEH of what He could do, and they believed...
If you believe it is a fact that Abraham, and his son, Isaac, and grandson, Jacob knew God, then that is a reason or reasons to believe...If it was a fact, that God had a covenant with Abraham six to seven thousand years ago then God exists, because a fact is a fact and a fact is not changed by the passing of time...Then this is a reason to believe...
Then same thing can be said of Moses...If it is a fact that Moses talked to God on Mount Sinai and led the Hebrews out of Egypt and into the promised land then that is a reason to believe in God, because the very fact that this happened shows us that God exists...The nation of Israel does exist...So Moses and the Promised Land are another reason or reasons to believe...
Similarly, if you believe all the prophets, and authors of the history and wisdom books of the Bible were touched by God, inspired by God, or was in contact with God, then that is a reason to believe...When they wrote their particular Old Testament Book, if you do not believe, then it makes no difference to you that they were inspired by God...Because, if one believes God touched their minds and hearts, and that this is fact, then that is reason enough to believe in Him...
Along the same line, the authors of the Bible are many...They wrote the Bible over thousand of years, and their total writings became a book known as the Bible...There is no other Book in the world like it...It is a most unique book...The Bible, itself, in how it was put together, over the time it was put together, and the different authors of the Bible is a reason to believe...
Jesus is the most important Man, if it fair to call Him a Man, who walked the earth...No one has ever spoken like Him...For example, to say I AM the truth, or I AM the way, the truth and the life is amazing...To say I AM the only way to the Father is astounding...To say before Abraham was born, I AM is like nothing I have ever read...To tell His disciples, I will send you another Counselor, the Holy Spirit, after I AM gone is something I have never read again...To tell His opposition that I did not come for you, because you think you are righteous...I have come only for those who have sinned...I AM here to help sinners...To tell people you forgive their sins against other men, without even contacting or knowing the men is truly amazing (unless He is God)...There has never been anyone else like Him...He has inspired and changed men like no Other...Jesus had the most simple of wisdom, yet was the most complex Man to ever walk the earth...My yoke is easy, and My burden is light...Wide is the road to temptation and evil and many will enter that road, but narrow is the road that leads to eternal life and only a few will find and take that road (Matthew 7:13-14)...He gave us two of the greatest sermons ever, the Sermon on the Mount and the Sermon on the Plain...Jesus said these incredibly wise things...He was an incredibly good man...A Man that is that wise and that good would not logically be a liar...This for me, is a reason to believe...
The resurrection is a reason to believe...It is the most important fact in the history of the world...If you do not believe that Jesus resurrected then all our faith is futile...St. Paul writes about this in 1 Corinthians 15...He most adequate tells us of the importance of the resurrection of Jesus...The ones He most changed were the closest ones around Him...The disciples scattered and were afraid immediately after His death...But after His resurrection and have seen Him, the disciples are changed...They are now ready to take on the world...They know now (after His resurrection) He is our LORD and our God...Jesus is seen by more than five hundred people after His death (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)...The people around could have went and talked to any of these five hundred people and got information of the resurrected Jesus...
The disciples who were unschooled ordinary men, fishermen and tax collectors, who had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13) were able to convert the entire Roman Empire to Christianity...Two thousand years ago one of the opposition, a teacher, named Gamaliel spoke against the Twelve disciples..He said, if this Christian movement is for their purpose it will surely fail...But if it is from God, you (the Sanhedrin Ruling Council) will not be able to stop these men...You will only find yourselves fighting against God (Acts 5:38-39)...It did not fail, Jesus was sent by God...That is a reason we can believe...
Also on the subject of the disciples, they were either fooled by Jesus and wanted to spread His word or they were wicked men and wanted to deceive others after Jesus death...Jesus was with His Twelve disciples for three years, so it would be hard to fool the Twelve everyday for three years until His death...Then they would have to be fooled again by His resurrection...Then the disciples continued to follow Him, teach about Him and write about Him after His death...St. Peter and St. John write about Jesus after His death...Both Peter and John wrote their New Testament epistles after His death...If the Twelve were wicked and wanted to deceive their friends and countrymen about Jesus after His death, this might have happened...But the early Christians and followers of Jesus were persecuted and they would have had to have wanted to be persecuted in their deception...This does not make any sense that the Twelve wanted to deceive others with a made up story about Jesus, and then knew they would be persecuted for it...The reason they believed that Jesus resurrected and were willing to be persecuted for it, is because they were eyewitnesses to His Majesty...This is a reason to believe...
Saul, a Pharisee, was originally against the Jesus movement...He was a brilliant writer and speaker...Saul, a religious and educated in the Scriptures, thought persecuting the first Christian was the right thing to do...Then everything in his life would change...Saul was on his way to Damascus, and was blinded by the Light...That Light was Jesus after His death...Jesus blinded Saul...Saul would not drink or eat for three days and nights...Saul would be thinking, about this incident...After Ananias took the scales from Saul's eyes, he changed dramatically...He went from one who persecuted Jesus' followers to be one of the biggest leaders of the early Christian Church in spreading His teachings and name...Paul would later change his Jewish name Saul to the Gentile name of Paul...St. Paul would write thirteen books of the New Testament...Some say he also wrote The Book of Hebrews...There are only twenty seven books in the New Testament...St. Paul wrote almost half of them...While many historians question whether Jesus was just a legend, and a few think the same of His disciples...Paul, is one who most historians believe is not a legend, and in fact was a genuine real man...He would become St. Paul...Paul writes he met with Peter and James, the LORD's brother (Galatians 1:18-19)...Paul wanted to know (about Jesus) from those who were eyewitness and knew Him...Paul would write to the Romans in an epistle, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that we are without excuse to believe in Him...Paul saw creation coming from God...Paul certainly believed that God is our Creator...Why would a brilliant, educated man like Paul believe in Jesus if He is only a legend, if you assume He was not real and just a myth?...Paul met with those who were eyewitnesses to Jesus -to find out more about Him...Jesus has to be a most important and real figure, for Paul to believe that He did in fact exist...After all Jesus and Paul were not that far apart in age...Jesus did not die many years before Paul was doing this studying of Him and his research on Him, after his conversion on the road to Damascus...St. Paul would get to know those people who were close to Jesus...Paul was a friend of Luke, who would write two books in the New Testament...Paul would also become friends with Barnabas (another follower of Jesus) and they would later meet with the Jerusalem Council...The Jerusalem Council was a group of the early apostles, who followed Jesus (Acts 15:1-41) ...St. Paul is a reason to believe...And it seems that Jesus' half-brother James was in charge of the Council...St. Paul would work in the beginning with a small group of Gentiles, and he traveled around the surrounding regions of Israel and would preach and teach about Jesus and gave proof to them why Jesus is the Messiah...In one of his letters to his friend Timothy before his death, he told Timothy that he had fought the good fight, he had finished the race, and he had kept the faith...St. Paul would have many enemies and detractors but he kept the faith in Jesus and continued to talk and write about Him, until his death...
So there is a family reason to believe...Mary had other sons fathered by Joseph...Two of them would write about Jesus in the New Testament...I find that James, the Just, Jesus' half brother is a reason to believe...He was a leader of the early Christian Church...He was His brother...He would have known Jesus as a brother and would have known Him in all his life, especially His childhood...He worked with St. Peter in the early church and was at the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15:1-41)...Jude was James full brother and wrote the Book of Jude...Like James, Jude knew very much of his Brother Jesus...James would also write one of the books of the New Testament, called James...Because these two full brothers would have known their Half Brother so closely and intimately as family, and James helped lead the early church, I find this a reason to believe...
C. S. Lewis talks about our desires as being a reason to believe in God in his book, Mere Christianity...In summarizing this desire argument for God, Lewis said God gave us different desires, and He gave us different things to fulfill our desires...So a duck wants to swim...Well there is such a thing of water...Men feel a sexual desire, there is such a thing as sex...People get hungry, there is such a thing as food...We get thirsty...So God gives us water...So to take this desire reasoning further (I would add), if we want knowledge and information, there is such a thing as books...If we want wisdom, if we want to be more Spiritual, if we desire to learn about faith and purpose in life, there is a Good-Book we can read, it is called the Bible...Every desire God created in us, He has created something that would satisfy that specific desire...When we wonder about this life, and our creation, and in trying to understand it, we think of God...If we have a desire that cannot be answered in this world, then there must be something else... So when I find myself with desires that nothing in this world can fulfill, then I must have been made for Another World...We want something different that is not of this world...In our longings, if there is something in this world cannot satisfy us, then there must be something more than this world, there is something else...That Something and Something Else is God...He has the ability to satisfy all of our desires...He will satisfy our last desire and next desire we have...One who has given us the ability to satisfy of all our desires and has given us heaven is a reason to believe...
God gave each of us a conscience...Deep down all of us know that we are to be good and do good...God is our moral compass, through our conscience...God, in fact, is the Absolute Good in our moral law...Our conscience is related to our soul that God gives us, and we hear and feel His presence in our conscience...Each one of us is trying to be good and do good, and we are constantly reminded of this by our conscience...This is a reason to believe...
Blaise Pascal was one of a great mathematician and physicist in the 1600's...The mathematician Pascal has a reason for us to believe...It is called Pascal's wager...In fact, it is a 50-50 wager that there is a God...If you do believe in God and there is not a God you haven't lost much...But if there is a God and you do not believe then you have lost everything...And if God does exist this changes everything -in your life...You have lost eternal life... So, why not believe?...
As stated earlier, St. Paul wrote to us in Romans 1:20, about the creation of earth...
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse....
There is order and design in our universe...More specifically the earth is a very orderly place...It is fine tuned for human beings to live...It is finely tuned for man to sustain his life...Food clothing and shelter are around us...The fact that we have oxygen, the sun, rain, water, food, and all the things necessary for survival is difficult to just say that is luck and random chance...If the earth was not an orderly place and not finely tuned for us, we would not exist...Look around at all the planets and places that are not livable for humans...God has created the world in such a way that mankind can exist and flourish and populate the earth...And we do exist and flourish and multiply on the earth God created...
St. Paul believed that if we look around and see everything on earth and in the skies and give everything we see its proper thought, then we will see God in those things and believe in God...Paul thought by looking around to all of nature and the skies and heavens, we would and can see this order and design...Creation and nature does offers proof, after thinking about it...The odds of earth happening by random chance are astronomical...So look around, you decide by what you see, did all the universe just happen out of nothing, or did an Intelligent One, design our world?...Can nothing create something?...The organization, the patterns, the symmetry, the divine design of all things, the simple beauty, and something being here on earth (instead of nothing), and yet the immense complexity of all living things are reasons to believe...It seems the more science and our scientists study the earth and the universe, the more design and patterns are found...The universe of the heavens and earth are by design...The universe is a Divine Design...
When we look around and see all the things on earth we know they were made by someone...Many of the things, like buildings and houses, were made and created by man...But the non-man made things many believe just happened...
The author of Hebrews 3:4 tell us man has made many things...
For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything....
The heavens and earth were built in six days...God is our builder of the heavens and earth...He created everything out of nothing...He is the builder of everything...Many give credit to man and his creations and building, but think the trees, the air, the sky, stones, mountains, gravity, the sun, the moon, the stars and everything else just formed out of nothing -how than that be?...Some believe everything else not created by man just formed out of nothing...That everything on earth and in the universe just happened...Then man evolved out of the living things...And man has advanced in their eyes out of a natural selection...How things evolved and why they evolved are not explained in detail...This is the theory of evolution...
We have Two Choices that we can believe in...
God Created the Earth and the Heavens:
We are either here on earth by God who created the earth, or we are here on earth not by our LORD but by chance...We are here by a Designer or we are here on earth at this specific time by random chance...The two usual choices or theories we have to believe in are the creation of earth by God or the theory of evolution...You either believe in God and He created the heavens and earth or mankind just came here by random chance and has evolved over a period of billions of years (or whatever time period the current scientists, physicists, and cosmologists have come up with)...The earth has organized seasons, organized nature with sixty seconds to every minute, sixty minutes to every hour, twenty four hours in every day, three hundred sixty five days in every year...In Genesis 1:14 we learn that God created on the third day (not the first day) and the seasons, days, and years...The seasons are perfectly timed, within every year...These time periods are organized...The world has an organized set of time periods, that either was calculated by our LORD, or happened by blind random chance...God created all these things out of nothing...
The earth and planets rotate and are finely tuned...The precision is so precise that if the earth's rotation was faster or slower needs to be thought about...If the earth rotated faster or slower then the earth's weather patterns would dramatically change..The moon which (somehow) affects our tides and earth's rotation, would be changed...The moon affects the earth and and our lives and our way of life...The sun is a precise distance from the earth...If it were closer, we might burn up...It the sun were further away we all might freeze to death...The earth, sun, and moon have precise distances, angles, rotations...They have so many characteristics and work together in such precise ways that any small change could impact mankind...Just these three parts of nature, the earth, the moon, and the sun are so complex...How did not only the earth, moon, sun but all of our nature get so logically precise ?...Our atmosphere and climates are tuned for plant, animal life, sea and sea creatures...How did they also get so finely tuned?...We can believe that the balance of nature, this order of nature, this logic of nature, this fine tuning either happened by blind random chance or by His Perfect Hand...
William Paley's popular watchmaker theory is that the earth, heavens, and universe are like the watch...They are complex, and organized systems...The universe, like the watch requires a Designer...Something as complicated as the oxygen in the air, the gravity on earth, the sun and its perfect distance from the earth, the trees and plants, are fine tuning required for man to live and breath, as well as every planet discovered necessitates a Designer...Like St. Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans 1:20, when you look around and see everything on earth, it is hard to say all things and everything just happened, and that things just formed and happened to be...William Paley says the universe, like the watch, requires an Intelligent Designer...And God still is in control of the heavens and the earth...
Or we can believe the Evolving- Evolution Theory:
The Big Bang Theory tells us that in the beginning the heavens and the earth was created out of uncontrolled randomness...Should one believe that this randomness of the Big Bang set everything we know into this perfect order, and not some randomness and chaotic world?...The Big Bang Theory and followers of evolution tells us life came into existence out of nothing, approximately fifteen billion years ago...Life of any and all types since this big bang has then always came out of something...But only after this Big Bang did we need something to expand life and help it evolve...Do you think life can be created out of nothing?...Only the divine and supernatural can create life out of nothing...Only God can create life out of nothing...
I think God, when He was creating earth and created the first day, all things might have started with a big bang or loud noise (maybe even a very, very loud one)...God can do those things...But big bangs and extremely loud noises, chemical reactions, and the like are generally associated with destruction and death...Today, if you heard the largest bang, the loudest noise, or the most extreme big bang you ever heard would you think about life being created or would you think that something was just destroyed, and did someone get hurt...This is how and what I would think if the loudest bang happened in my neighborhood today...I would be worried that something was destroyed and hope that no one got hurt...But I do believe God could create anything, with a bang or without a bang, because He did and He has...
Evolutionists think we have a very old earth...No one was here a billion years ago or fifteen billion years ago...Man evolved later, they tell us...That is why we must constantly be reminded that evolution is still only a theory...Scientists cannot retest this big bang and and the billions of years of evolution that they say has past...
If you believe in the evolution of life of all kinds, plant, animal, and humanity, that took billions of years, then you must believe in a random series events and the constant miracles that lead to finally nature and man existing, as it says in Genesis about ten thousand years ago...Evolution believers would have to believe in miracles for man to get from a a primitive, chemical, watery-primordial soup that started from nothing, to a man with the complex DNA structure we currently have...Evolution, also would not stop when the first man evolved but would continue and we would continue to change and evolve into something different in the next two to three thousand years...
Darwin followers think we evolved from some random genetics and the strong and/or smart survive...Our offspring and the offspring of plant, animal, and sea life gets stronger and adapts better each generation...If this is true then we would continue to evolve, we would be smarter, we would be stronger and we would continue to adapt to our particular environment around us...People like Jesus, Solomon, St. Paul, Gamaliel, Aristotle, Socrates, Shakespeare, and Plato, (even the people who were in charge of building the pyramids) among many, and many others, in the past, were pretty intelligent...The Romans and their leaders seemed to have built a large empire with roads and buildings, aqueducts, and structures that were very complex...Some are still around today, from thousands of years ago...I am not sure we are any smarter today than we were in St. Paul's time...
In evolution in the truest form, in ten thousand years will man be much smarter???...Will man be much tougher???...Will man live to be eight hundred years old again???...The true evolution should think that evolution forever continues...Does evolution ever stop?...I am sure we will have more technology, does technology make us smarter...If evolution does stop, why didn't it stop one thousand years ago, or one million years ago, or even on billion years ago...What does the evolutionist see ten thousand or a million years from today, here on earth or in space, if that is where he sees us going???...
Although not an argument really for evolution, why did man become the most evolved or changed of the creatures on earth???...Will monkeys or apes eventually evolve into a smarter, stronger community to build cars and buildings, like on Planet of the Apes???...After all evolution would never stop, if one actually believes in the theory of evolution...What will man evolve into next?...We know that certain animals can solve problems...Where will this evolve???...Or why didn't any animal, such as an ox or horse evolve into the majestic creature on earth???...When we start reflecting on this subject, we seem to go full circle and see man was created or evolved and is over the other animals on earth, and have a reason to believe in the Creator...In Genesis 1:28, man is given dominion over every living creature that lives on the earth...If man has evolved from apes or from a primitive soup, what will we evolve into next, and how long will it take???...
I would have expected man would live to advanced years today, like the first men (on earth) lived...But instead man is still as fragile as ever...Sure we are learning things and have antibiotics, and cures for many diseases today, but what would our average age be without our great advancements in health care and health care technology...If we take out these advancements in health care, what would our average age be?...Would it be close to man''s average age two thousand or six thousand years ago?...I do believe that our health care has greatly evolved...We have had evolution, evolution in our health care...But God still controls when we live, how we age, and how old we get...
Therefore, evolution is not a monopoly...If God wants things to evolve, He certainly can make it evolve...He certainly has allowed us to evolve many things...Traveling methods, technology, information (through the internet) and health care is some of first things that come to mind that He has allowed to evolve...
A miracle can be defined as an event that cannot be repeated and not explainable by the laws of nature...On the miracles that surely happened during evolution are explained only as "evolution itself"...Evolution is not one miracle, but a series of miracles...Did man come right after the Big Bang or did man evolve, according to those who believe in evolution, from nothing into something over a period of fifteen to many, many billions of years into something called man...Is the Big Bang a miracle?...Did man come from nothing?...Can anything on earth be created from nothing?...Can life (or anything) be created from nothing?...Can man create life or a living organism out of nothing, or must he use existing things on earth?...Some, if not all, evolutionists believe that man came from a primitive liquid soup..We have evolved from this liquid, and then a single or simple cell creature into chimp and ape-like creatures and then into man...Is this evolution process over and done or are there still lower level men and women evolving today?...I have seen pictures of these as drawings, but no pictures...If the process is the way we became man, wouldn't this process continue, so we would see a single celled man, and a chimp-like man, and all levels of man, if this is how it happened...Maybe it just stopped after a billion years of evolving, when man started populating the earth...I guess we have to believe this is one believes in the theory...I, also, guess one man would have evolved first and then others later would evolve (sounds a little like the first man)...I guess women evolved later, or did they evolve first...I guess it would have been impossible for only a man species to evolve without a woman (or would it)...I guess that only one man evolved, and one woman evolved (that story is familiar)...More than likely if you believe in the theory of evolution man evolved and then a year or two later another man or woman evolved and then inhabited the earth...Then something happened later (how much later I would not not venture to guess) and then this process just stopped...This evolving process would take several miracles as stated earlier...Evolution raises more questions for me than does the Book of Genesis...I guess you need a little faith in the theory of evolution, to get from the single cell man to the first man to walk the earth...
One can maybe believe that we had one random event or maybe two random events or miracles that led us here today...But to believe that ALL of nature, our wildlife, our climate, our atmosphere, the stars, sun, and moon and everything else we have on earth and in the universe just formed out of nothing takes a great faith...One can believe that we are here today because of random chance and a big bang event that came out of a loud chemical explosion...On the other hand one can believe that God was there at the Genesis, and created man and the order of nature in six days...That is difficult to believe...But, for me it is more difficult to believe that man and earth evolved from nothing into an earth and universe in the first billion years...What was here before this big bang???...How many billion years was there just this nothing around before the bang???...
The creation of nature is evidence...Where there is design, there is a Designer...The creation shows evidence of a Designer...The patterns and symmetry and design were created by a Divine Designer...In fact, the patterns, design, and the organized law of nature implies a Designer, an Intelligent Divine Designer...Because not matter what one believes, creation is a miracle...
Another strong argument for design is the human body...What beautiful design...The body grows from conception to death...We have one of the most complex immune systems...We have a heart that gets us through life...And the brain may be the most complex of all of our organs...Did the body come from no thought or no design???...How can our cells do what they do???...Our body, and its systems, appears to have come from a very sophisticated complex designer...His name is I AM WHO I AM...He is also, known as YAHWEH...
God's creation of the heavens, nature, and the universe and its complexity, exceeds my ability to think how all of this was created...It leads me to believe in infinity, because it is so complex...God is Infinity...
As one looks around and sees the seasons, the sun, the moon, the stars, the oceans and all of nature with its simpleness, yet its complexity, it smiles of God's glory...
In 1953 James Watson and Francis Crick revealed the structure and properties of DNA, the molecule that carries our genetic information...What they discovered was that the blueprint for a human being was encapsulated in a long string of nucleic acid, arranged in a double helix, like a twisted rope ladder with three billion rungs...For this discovery Watson and Crick, together with Maurice Wilkins, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962...In our DNA it has been discovered to have intelligence and design...Our DNA strands are organized...Who or how did intelligence, design, and organization get in mankind's DNA?...The Divine Designer of our DNA is God...He has been also called the Intelligent Designer...
Another argument for God is your faith...Faith is very hard to define...I personally believe faith is not something static, but faith is something robust in our nature...So faith can be stronger or less stronger at different times...In trying to define faith, it is like trying to define love...You cannot see it, but you feel it...Faith gives us inspiration and hope...If God exists, we need faith...Without faith, why would we seek Him?...Why do so many seek Him?...Why do we want to seek Him?...So we must seek Him through this faith, which is our own personal faith...All those who seek Him will find Him...That is part of His promise in Scripture for those who have this faith...But if you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deuteronomy 4:29)...
So as we look and seek Reasons to Believe in God and His Son, we must believe in one or two pieces of evidence that we read or hear about...When we believe in something it must be the Truth...If it is not true, why would we believe in it...So we must believe that God and His Son exist and They are the Truth...
