During my research, I took note of the frequent use of English and anglicisms on Dominik Feri's Instagram. He is a member of the party TOP 09, which we may categorize as a liberal, globalist party favoring immigration and international cooperation. I have also noticed that many people who are Czech include comments written entirely in English on his posts. See below for some examples.
Focusing on the circled word, we notice an interesting phenomenon: the user decided to express the meaning of unexpected, in Czech ‘nečekané’, by attaching the English prefix un- to the Czech word čekat (meaning ‘to expect’) and ending with -ebl, which is the Czech way of pronouncing the suffix -ble.
Here we can observe the use of English phrases by Czech speakers on Feri’s post.
Here we observe the borrowing of the English words detail and lockdown, which have been made plural in Czech (detaily) and inflected so as to reflect the singular dative case (lockdownu).
