According to Valtonen, T. (2019) , media literacy is a life skill that helps people, particularly young people, understand, analyze, and influence the media.

According to (Sahin & Thompson, 2017) the are four media skills namely access, analyze, evaluate and communicate. Access means finding and utilizing the proper media tools, accessing the desired information through these methods, and understanding the significance of the contents. Analyze refers to dividing messages into meaningful units. Evaluate means to make judgements about the quality or the value of a media content. Lastly, communicate means to make judgements about the quality or the value of a media content.

What should you do after this lesson as an empowered citizen
Learners should be able to navigate the vast amount of information available on the internet and evaluate its credibility. They should be able to identify fake news and propaganda and understand the importance of fact-checking and verifying sources. media can influence citizen both positive and negative because not all media information is helpful.
