It involves encoding, transmitting, and decoding information in a digital format. Examples of digital communication include email, instant messaging, social media, video conferencing, and digital broadcasting.

It is true that many prefer face to face collaboration for effective communication but due to technology changes it essential to be a digital citizen, know how to collaborate online, share ideas and handle feedback online as it is require 21st century skill.
