Tools to improve information literacy.
Individuals can use search engines which are software programs that allow them to search for information on the internet using keywords. They provide quick and easy access to a vast amount of information, but it's important to evaluate the credibility and reliability of the sources found through search engines.
Learners and students can use library databases, it is collections of digital or physical resources, including academic journals, books, and other materials. They offer access to high-quality and trustworthy information, but require specialized search techniques and may require a subscription or library membership to access.
It it importart to check your information that you get from internet to be sure that it is factual. Individuals can use fact-checking websites which are resources that verify the accuracy and validity of claims made in news articles, social media posts, and other sources. They help users evaluate the credibility of information and identify misinformation and fake news. However, it's important to use multiple fact-checking websites and cross-check the information before accepting it as true.
How to become information literate
A responsible learner become information literacy when they know how to use digital information ethically and responsibly. This includes knowing how to assess data for veracity, relevance, and bias as well as knowing how to correctly acknowledge sources.
