The owners, Katlyn & Paul, together with their team, are lending their time, talent, and deep community experience to the library project. The Mushroom Farm team supports LIFT with on-the-ground expertise, local knowledge, and hands-on assistance as we build and grow in Manchewe.

Malawi Youth Education Fund (MYEF) - "MYEF is a 100% volunteer organization because our board members believe in providing maximum impact with your donation. With volunteers, Katlyn & Paul, on the ground helping manage this program, we have direct communication with the students we are sponsoring, as well as with their families. MYEF is partnering with LIFT in channeling educational project funding directly to our community library project. As a 501(c)(3), MYEF plays a central role in ensuring that donations reach students and families in northern Malawi.

YEWŌ Collective - "YEWO is a social enterprise based in Malawi, Africa, and Asheville, North Carolina. We create intentional pieces with a focus on sustainable materials, ethical production, functionality, and design. Xulendo / Next Generation Africa

"We're working to make learning more accessible in Malawi through Xulendo, a digital learning platform that provides curriculum-aligned materials. Our goal is to bridge the gap in access to quality education, especially in rural areas. With partnerships and offline-first solutions, we're reaching thousands of learners and improving pass rates.”

Providing the full secondary-school digital curriculum on our library laptops, their “Xulendo Digital Library” gives students and teachers offline access to curriculum-aligned, license-free educational materials. Putting technology to work where it really counts! Our deep gratitude to Davie Mumba for trekking to Livingstonia to install Xulendo on the Library laptops and train the administrators.

&Proud

The community-facing project, Clean & Proud, collects and recycles local waste in addition to educating the community through outreach programmes. The team is made up of local residents who are permanent, trained on-site, paid a fair wage and supported in many ways beyond employment. The team transforms the local waste into products that are sold under the customer-facing fashion brand, &Proud (previously C&P).
