Woodpecker

Woodpeckers live in wooded areas and are easily heard with their tapping on trees trunks. 

 Pecking up to 20 times per second, they search for insects living in the crevices of bark. 

 Woodpeckers have reinforced skulls that protect their brains from these repeated impacts. 

 They also have zygodactyl feet, which help them to grasp the sides of trees to balance while hammering.  

The woodpecker is an attention-grabber. 

When you hear one knocking, you can bet there is an opportunity waiting for you.  

This can be the start of a project or venture.  It can also mean you’ll soon connect with someone new.
