Eagle

Eagles are one of the most admired birds of prey.

They are also one of the largest birds with wingspans of more than six feet.

Their characteristics are unmistakable.

An eagle’s eyesight can detect prey up to two miles away.

They are so good at getting food that they spend very little time hunting.

An eagle can soar higher than other birds and can glide on a single wing beat for long hours.

Their ability to feed themselves from the land and still sour to great heights reflects their hidden significance.

They can teach us the delicate balance of being of the earth but not in it.

In other words, be grounded in caring for your body and tending to your day-to-day activities,

but embrace your spirit so that you are able to consider the deeper meanings of life.   (S. Finelli)
