Get Settled Now and Then

The constant movement of the ocean with its crashing waves and changing winds can be unsettling to seafarers.  Adjusting the sails and rerouting a ship’s course is often necessary to stay on course.

Sometimes it is essential that a captain drop anchor and wait for treacherous conditions to change.

Other times bringing a vessel to a temporary hold allows the crew to stop and fish.

Now and then, your life may feel like it is moving hectically along and you long for a break.

If this is the case, take one.

You may not have the time or luxury to get away or plan a vacation,

but you can get settled within yourself.

Find a quiet place, close your eyes, and focus on your breath.

In and out, like the rhythm of the sea, find your calm.

This is your anchor ~ remember to use it!  (S Finelli)
