Frauji was a territory in the Holy Eavonian Confederation and the northernmost territory on the continent, most of the land encircled by the Verdant Sea. The territory was made up of five regions: Trinity, The Kobdo Brink, Jade, Casdon, and Tempest. This territory was generally the least populated by Eavons, as Trinity and the surrounding areas were the homeland to the Zhāng, which the Confederation held a strong cultural alliance with. Frauji did become the primary Eavon population center after the end of the Solstice War, as the remaining territories were left in complete and utter ruin.
Trinity was a volcanic region in Frauji sharing its southern border with Akye and Dove. It was named after the three active supervolcanoes within the land, each one titled in honor of a founding member of the distinct Zhāng clans; Keye, Kailee, and Kasse. Along with the Zhāng, the region was also home to several distinct species, such as the himbe, the glowl, and the gepte. The gepte was a large rodent with black fur and bony plates all over its body for both camouflage and armor protection in the basalt ridges of Trinity. Unique flora could also be found in Trinity that was well adapted for the barren environment, such as the molten bloom and the lava tongue. The black ash covering the ground and sky made subsistence farming of Eavon staple foods nearly impossible on top of the unappealing atmosphere and unpredictable seismic disturbances. The Confederation did establish small permanent structures in the form of research stations and geothermal labs. One of the primary areas of study was surrounding kirdar, a Zhāngian word referring to the naturally and constantly warm soil of Trinity and parts of Tempest, which maintained elevated temperatures even when dug up and removed from the local area. Ancient Aegiino ruins were also dotted around the region from before the 4th Dispensation, but many were lost due to the constant ash-fall burying them.
The Kobdo Brink was a coastal prairie region in western Frauji. The Kobdo Brink’s most defining feature was Kátotora’s Crown, the largest mountain and volcano on Eranosia and the mythical location where the Arbiter Mother Kátotora created the first Eavon. Kátotora’s Crown was over 20 kilometers tall, no living thing able to scale more than a third of the entire dome. Ancient ceremonial sites could be found in more accessible reaches of the Crown, but all of these sites were no longer in use and unmaintained in the modern age, many of them forgotten entirely. Beyond the Crown, the rolling prairies exhibited a bright crimson hue as a result of the oxidized volcanic elements found in the soil. Fauna was surprisingly sparse, but hardy species such as the kûmap-flol and kayole thrived due to a scarcity of natural predators. Sea life in and around the coast was more common, such as reef fish, seabirds, and large crustaceans. Eavon towns were scattered across the Brink, small frontier settlements that attempted to establish a foothold on the region, but a lack of resources made permanent infrastructure difficult. The Confederation did establish some oceanography research stations along the coast, but these were maintained by a shifting crew and pre-programmed produx units. Following the Solstice War, a small bay on the Brink’s coast began accumulating the derelict remains of various vessels and ships as the Verdant Sea was making its final corruption into the Venom Sea. One of these ships was The Warden, an evacuation craft used in the Silver Lining’s Star Ring program. The bay became the harbor city known as Urbina, also called the City of Steel Graves, which was overseen by the Blackguard.
Jade was a flourishing cordillera in northern Frauji. Jade was named after its dazzling emerald-green vegetation, a trait found exclusively in this region and the forests of Hilse-Kile. The origin of this extreme coloration is likely from a primordial species of oceanic phytoplankton that made up four percent of the soil. This coloration would be found in all manner of vegetation, including flowers, fruits, leaves, and grass of all kinds. Imported crops would shift to Jade’s palette within only a couple seasons, creating regional variations of mainland fruits and vegetables, such as salt carrots and gizzich maize. This also resulted in the domesticated woolhog known as the prua to develop a green hide. While parts of Jade were open enough for the founding of settlements and farmland, much of the region was far too inclined and elevated, the spare valleys offering some opportunity for hidden and difficult to reach towns. During the Solstice War, the Silver Lining used the arduous northern region to their tactical advantage, constructing underground weapon and vehicle storage depots. Following the war, many such installations remained undiscovered and their entrances were reclaimed by vegetation. Occasional collapses exposed sealed corridors containing machinery, munitions, and abandoned wartime stores in pristine condition.
Casdon was a dry canyon region in southeastern Frauji and shared its eastern border with The Farwei Wilds. Winding ravines and riparian corridors carved by rivers covered the entire region, ranging from a few meters to twenty kilometers in width. These small rivers and creeks were all sourced from the Farwei River, some of the largest canyons starting the development 30 million trisolars before the founding of the Holy Eavonian Confederation. These wide changes in elevation allowed for a great variety of flora to exist in the region, such as sparse pine groves, riparian plants, and cacti. This also brought about a diverse population of fauna, such as yol-flol, lwupro, and himbe, as well as various rodents, bats, and insects. Ancestral Pahru Eavons lived in Casdon in the 4th Dispensation, constructing cliff-side and pueblo settlements out of solid stone bricks to defend against lwupro packs and enemy clans. Once the Confederation formed and the Eavon population began its unification, many Casdon residents migrated south back into Pahru or north into Tempest where the Frauji capital was, although the mining industry would eventually find a home in Casdon. Many of these ancestral sites became archaeologically important to the Pahru, with some excavations discovering artifacts of unknown origin and much older than Eavon civilization itself. Many of these artifacts were confiscated and marked confidential by the Confederation Institute of Peoples & Ecologies as investigations into them began. It would later be discovered that the artifacts were millions of trisolars old and came from an unknown People living in the Farwei Wilds, the rivers that formed the Casdon canyons likely guiding them into the region to be discovered millennia later by the ancestral Pahru. This information was never released to the public, and following the Solstice War, the artifacts were lost forever.
Tempest was a rugged magnetized region in northeastern Frauji. Before the Solstice War, the region was known as the supposed home of the Aegiino and was a flourishing land of dense forests, pristine mountains, and wide valleys. It was one of the most resource-abundant regions on the planet, with the Aegiino constructing intricate alchemist towers and even establishing colonies of multiple alchemist structures. When the Zhāng were emancipated from slavery under the Aegiino by the Eavons in the 4th Dispensation, the Aegiino also fled their homes in Tempest to more secluded and isolated locations across Eranosia. Soon after Eavon migrants came into Tempest to expand the newly established Confederation, founding the Frauji capital Ekhe Mia on the Chelzor River. While the region was prosperous, its distance from the mainland Confederation kept it fairly sparsely populated, Ekhe Mia being the smallest of all the Confederation capitals. After the Solstice War however, the region saw drastic environmental change. Unbeknownst to the locals, an extreme level of magnetic elements, likely residue from the formation of Trinity and Kátotora’s Crown, laid fifty meters below the surface. With the Asymptite army using electromagnetic weapons over the course of the Solstice War, these materials were destabilized to the surface and destroyed the ecosystem more than the Asymptites already did. Tempest then became a region of white gravel and metal fragments, white geometric shapes forming in massive boulders, and iron tree-like formations with little to no organic plant and animal life. Ekhe Mia, or what was left of it, became a safe haven for Silver Lining veterans and other various mercenaries.
