The kayole was a small leptictidium-like rodent only 22 centimeters tall that was widespread across the Holy Eavonian Confederation. They were global pests that affected the going-ons of almost every facet of civilization on land, on the sea, and even in the air. Kayole were very difficult to cull when they had begun infesting an area, as they multiply rapidly and can escape being chased very easily thanks to their strong legs and long tails.Â
Kayole were incredibly disruptive in the progress of Eavon society as they could eat almost anything they could fit in their mouth, even items not traditionally considered food by any metric. While they ate crops and insects in the wild, in Eavon colonies they also would eat wooden support frames, electrical wiring, and raid pantries if they felt bold enough. Other members of the 44 Peoples learned how to avoid kayole infestations by using natural deterrents, but many of these elaborate methods were incompatible with Eavon societal standards.
