Then, enter your family registration key to link your child(ren) to your account.
Whilst the Prime Minister of Australia has declared it is still safe for students to attend school, the Premier of NSW is encouraging students to work from home where possible in order to reduce the rate of trasmission of COVID19 amongst the community. Public Schools across NSW are open for students whose parents work in essential services and require supervision, or for vulnerable students where school provides a safe place for.
Education services is the responsibility of each state/territory in Australia. Thus, what the Premier of NSW declares is what NSW Education schools will follow.
We are practising physical distancing and increased hygeine practices amongst students attending, and focused cleaning of used learning spaces.
No. All teaching staff are making work available online, and students at school are being supervised completing that online work.
No, if students are working at home, and parents/carers confirm with the school their child(ren) is/are doing working at home, the student will be marked as being on Flexible leave (F code). If your child's leave is coming up as unjustified (A code), please email the school or provide justification reasons via the Parent Portal. The attendance codes will be adjusted accordingly.
If you cannot procure a device for your child(ren) to work from, please contact the ICT Coordinator as soon as possible (Michael.Foy1@det.nsw.edu.au) to organise potentially borrowing a school device.
With regards to internet access, please also contact the ICT Coordinator at the email address above. The Department of Education is sourcing USB dongles for loan. They are still procuring and distributing them to schools, and there is no ETA presently.
While the school remains open, there is the opportunity for students without internet access at home to come in for a day or two and utilise our free internet to get work done and download resources to enable working at home for a few more days.
