Used in Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 classes, Seesaw is a platform that allows parents/carers to see what their students are learning at school and how they are progressing. Teachers can maintain direct contact with parents/carers via the in-built messaging platform.
Used by some teachers in the secondary school, Microsoft Teams offers similar features to Google Classroom, as well as additional integrated functions (such as video conferencing and a real-time classwork platform via OneNote). This is part of the Office 365 package. Login is achieved with students' school email address.
Teachers who use this system will inform students and parents/carers that this is occurring, typically as the sites were already created prior to the transition to online learning. Communication about work uploaded to Teams will also be made on the Parent/Student Portal or a Google Classroom site so parents/carers can stay informed of work due.
