Make a Difference Day

Henry G Fix American Legion Auxiliary Unit 23 as a unit decided to MAKE A DIFFERENCE 2024 by hosting a Spaghetti Feed to serve the community as a tailgate before the final home football game, with free will offering going to our scholarship fund! Special thanks to Trivent for helping fund our event. Count: 135-140 attendees, $1463 with more donations still coming in!

Henry G Fix American Legion Auxiliary Unit 23 as a unit decided to MAKE A DIFFERENCE by making Care Baskets and distributing to Nursing Home Residents and community/unit members. We also collected items for our Veterans.

Auxiliary members and community members donated fruit cups, pudding cups, oatmeal packets, canned soup,  snack bars, chips, tea,  hot chocolate, cheese and crackers, fruit snacks,  and fruit bars. All items not used to fill baskets will be donated for the Back Pack Program at the Treasure Chest.

Unit members--Rhonda Kirton, Sue Jensen, Denise Schmidt, Ethel Kurtz, Waneta Erickson, Millie Olson, Lois Weise, Cheryl Lyngen,  Liz Bennett, Wini Iverson, Kathy Evenson, Judy Hanson, and DaNann Kistler helped assemble and distribute to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in our community and Veterans lives! Henry G Fix American Legion Auxiliary Unit 23 honored our Veterans and spouses November 5, 2020.

Due to the pandemic having affected many in our Unit and Community, we as a unit decided to MAKE A DIFFERENCE for them.

Care Baskets were made and distributed to 8 Nursing Home Residents and 33 community/unit members .

Auxiliary members donated fruit cups, fruits, 2021 calendars, pudding cups, baked goods, snack bars, chips, emery boards, hand sanitizers, tea,  cheese and crackers, fruit snacks,  assorted pre-packaged cookies, and fruit bars. All items not used to fill baskets will be used for the Back Pack Program at the Treasure Chest.
