Near the bridge to Maelstrom, a Viking ship is docked waiting for guests to explore! This is a recreation of the Viking Ship Play Area that used to be in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. A fun diversion for young ones who need to run around and blow off some steam while pretending to be mighty Norse Warriors! While also just being a fun set piece helping to communicate the theme of Maelstrom before guests commit to walking across the bridge to check it out.
Another boat docked in the Lagoon for guests to explore, the Chicken of the Sea pirate ship from Disneyland's early days will be docked near Mickey Mouse Revue. A great place to grab a snack or play out a swash buckling fantasy! The boat will also feature some special effects like the canons that will go off in time with the Sorcerer's of the Legacy game while players battle against Captain Hook.
The Osbourne Diner/Mad T Party will be discussed later, but it is a large quick service restaurant with multiple dining rooms. The largest of which doubles as a lounge/bar with elements from California Adventure's Mad T Party. There is an entrance directly to this section of the restaurant in Mythical Dreams that features some theming based on Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (but with brighter, zanier colors) to tie it into the surrounding area.
As an homage to the original Disneyland Submarine Lagoon, real live mermaids can be seen sometimes hanging out on the rocks in the lagoon near the Pirate Ship and the submarines! With some a tiny hidden room in the rock for if the mermaids need to hide quickly for any reason (weather, bathroom break, escape the heat, get some water). The costumes are designed so they can swim in them with a changing room in the 20K queue, but a boat is nearby in case of emergencies and their character attendant will be a trained life guard.
