Learning Dojo 2023 Overview
Following the success of Learning Dojo 2022 and the expressions of interest from USAID Implementing Partners, the Learning Dojo 2023 kicked off in March 2023.
For the second year, Learning Dojo has been refined and optimized both in terms of content and process to better meet the needs of Activities and Mission Wide.
In 2023, there were 64 participants, representing 29 USAID Activities across all Mission development and special objectives and every Mission technical office (see the table on the right). Approximately 26% of participants were from local organizations.

Examples from Specialist Track
One local IP has taken up Power BI to develop a dashboard as an internal tool for data-driven decision making.
Another cohort member collaborated with their colleagues from other track in improving knowledge management and document uploading system of the organization.
Another used KUMU platform to capture team's knowledge on the stakeholders and make it visually easy to view the stakeholder map.
Examples from Strategist Track
One IP improved its work planning process by using participatory approach and facilitation techniques to actively engage key stakeholders in all stages of the process.
One pair mapped the stakeholders of their services as a starting point to brainstorm on how to engage different divisions in improving the quality of student experience.
Other pairs utilized the P&R for information sharing, connecting and increased effectiveness of project results.
Examples from Leadership Track
Three members actively practiced mindful leadership; one held a mindfulness training for his staff.
Several other leaders adapted the psychological safety survey to assess their team environment, the results of which were team consensus on updated team norms and collective actions to foster better CLA and psychologically-safe environment.
