Diploma in Operation Theatre (OT) Technician

Indian Medical Association is the only representative, national voluntary organization of the Doctor of Modern Scientific System of Medicine, which looks after the interest of doctors as well as the well-being of the community at large. IMA aims to promote and advance medical and allied sciences in all their different branches and to promote the improvement of public health and medical education in India. To fulfill their objective, IMA launched 2-year Diploma programs for different paramedical staff which enables us to bridge the gap of skilled professionals in the healthcare ecosystem. In 2019 Learnet Skills received affiliation from the Diploma courses in Dialysis Technician, OT Technician, and X-Ray Technician across the country.

Diploma in OT Technician – An OT Technician assists the surgeon and anesthetist during an operation. They also prepare the operation theatre and maintain the OT equipment for surgery. Additional job responsibilities include preparing OT for surgery, setting up, checking, and maintaining equipment, preparing the patient for surgery, assisting to surgeon and anesthetist with arranging OT equipment, and managing supplies and the patient’s position required as per the surgery and procedure.
